I was planning on going to the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) today but ended up needing to work on some stuff around the house instead. However, during my planning for the visit I came across a program called Museums on Us by Bank of America and I wanted to briefly share this with readers.
If you have an account or credit card with Bank America there are museums across the country that you can get into for free on these dates:
January 6 and 7, 2024
February 3 and 4, 2024
March 2 and 3, 2024
April 6 and 7, 2024
May 4 and 5, 2024
June 1 and 2, 2024
July 6 and 7, 2024
August 3 and 4, 2024
September 7 and 8, 2024

November 2 and 3, 2024
December 7 and 8, 2024
In the Portland area there are three attractions on the list: OMSI, Portland Japanese Garden and Portland Art Museum. There are multiple other ways to get free or discounted museum attendance in Portland, but Museums on Us is open to readers nationwide.
Go check out one of your local museums or other eligible attractions. If you can get in free you have nothing to lose but a couple hours of your time if it doesn’t work out.
